I would not be real happy if Pedro heads to the Yanks, but I gotta be honest with you. For the almost 13 million the Sox were going to pay him, I think that they can get 2 good starters. 2 out of Pavano, Radke, Leiter, Wright. I'd take that.

The Boss seems to be just pushing the price higher for the Red Sox to sign Pedro. He's giving Pedro some leverage with the Red Sox.I would be shocked to see Pedro in pinstripes in the future. The Yanks for some reason seem to already own him.Pedro just can't figure out how to beat the Yankees although he beats about every other team in the majors.Look for Pedro to remain in Boston.

They are not going to pay him more than Schil.

The Red Sox paid him a lot more than Schilling made this past season.I guess we will just have to see how it all plays out.It could get interesting if management refuses to budge.I really think Pedro wants to remain a Red Sox and that management wants him to stay....so I think a contract gets done.

Yeah I'm thinking Pedro will eventually end up working something out with the Sox and maybe even getting the third year that he wants. Varitek, Cabrera and Lowe are all probably gone though.
