    >> You just have to understand where I live I'm exposed to country music all day long...

so when do folks have to start making excuses for the music they enjoy? i still dig on 'puff the majic dragon' and it ain't cuz i hear it all day long. do i need to come up with some other excuse? just wanting to know.

nah, no excuses...just live and enjoy.

i call mine a cop out. just cant seem to get the hang of some music. plus some tunes have an adverse effect on me...goosebumps and stuff. ;)

all a matter of taste. when it feeds my soul...ah, good enuf! when it moves me, and touches my heart, even better! :)

it's jolly street. i will go look again when i get home. he sent me the travel thingy. said, in case i want to take advantage of the british airways package deal. it's hella cheap, too. a week is like $100.00 a night (for a suite, not a room) which includes a full english breakfast. (we all know what that is. oy! i still dont get the fried tomatoes.) :(

obtw, i will post the link. it shows the hotel and describes the vicinity.

saw godsmack here at the fillmore, denver. they f-ing owned!

well, i grew up in texas doing the two-step and the polka. that's my excuse. but i can agree, i refuse to listen to the country stations anymore as it's too slick for me taste. when i feel the redneck coming out, i wanna listen to hank yodel out 'long gone.' do like some of the bluegrass -- rhonda vincent and allison, in particular. dixie chicks, somewhat.

jam music isn't filler. It's improvisation. I know that might not appeal to some people, but it's there for a reason. Some bands are built on it, and as someone versed in it, I enjoy it greatly and have enjoyed performing songs like it. As a musician, I feel it's more advantageous to be able to show mastery of your instrument, to be able to convey ideas, and to stretch out musically than to sit there and play three distorted chords and yell over it for just over three minutes.

Seems like a decent hotel, and a good price. I'm paying more like $140 for my place, or rather my company is paying! British Airways, ugh! I don't like BA, I'm a Vigin man, but Virgin don't fly to that many places in the States - not Denver, anyway. I'm getting near to the total airmiles points necessary for a free transatlantic flight, so my next trip to the States will be a cheap one! Now where shall I go?
