***** ******, Clayton is running a comeback route. I know it makes you feel better to hope I didn't play football because you were riding a fucking skateboard in HS, but I did. Sorry for your loss.

As presidence and B&B both pointed out before your post, it was a joke based on a very famous movie quote you fucking moron. Jesus Christ, you losers are utterly pathetic. We just blew a home playoff game that couldn't possibly have been set up better for us to make the Super Bowl, and it happened because of a problem I've been complaining about for years. Now we're losing the most talented defensive player this franchise will ever have, and you stupid mother fuckers are still talking about me. Are you Panthers fans or Collin-obsessed? If the former, then shut the fuck up about me and start discussing the god damned team. If the latter, then start a forum dedicated to me so it doesn't get mixed up with any Panthers shit.

Running a deep curl. I'm aware that some Madden guidebooks mislabel it as a "comeback route." The point I've been making, which erpi chooses to ignore, is that in college and the NFL the quarterback absolutely does not wait for the receiver to turn and run back before throwing the ball. That's something teams do in high school and below when they don't feel confident enough that they can execute timing routes. In college and the NFL, the ball is in the air before the receiver makes his break because you don't want to give the defense that much more time to react.

IF you really want this to die out so that discussion can return to football, why do you continue to post on the subject? It seems to me that this thread dies without your input.

It might seem that way to you, but trust me, that's not the way it works. At various times I've been away from the board for weeks or even months and when I come back, there are still discussions devoted to me. Erpi's R&R thread about me made it to seven pages before I even knew it existed. The reality is that I've hurt a lot of people's feelings by bashing their ideas, and because they lack the ability to argue with me about football, they get their "revenge" by talking about me incessantly. I understand that it's a consequence of me being an asshole, but in this forum Panthers discussion should always outweigh discussion of me, especially at a time like this when there is so much to talk about. If you do some searching by thread title, there are more than twice as many threads devoted to me on TBR than any other poster.

That's how some playbooks draw a hook.

uh, YOU apparently "live" in that world where a football message board is all important . . . it's pathetic that you place such a disproportionate weight on this board. Most who visit here have more important things to do in the real world.

    holy crap . . . . I'll add one more word to go with "pathetic" . . . DELUSIONAL
I'm starting to wonder if you put on some sort of homemade uniform and cape before you visit this board

okie dokie there Mr. Joker sir.
    So is Thelt your Batman?

I guess you see yourself as the nicholson version of the Joker . . . the attempt at the "few good men" stuff above suggests that your delusion might include a Jack Nicholson obsession . . . neato

You clearly "give a damn" and to a high enough degree that you are compelled to respond in such an impassioned way. I'm only "giving a damn" because I currently have a little time to kill and you could stand a little objective opinion on your chronic disproportionate behavior.
That "why" at the end was pretty much rhetorical since most folks who have been around here for any length of time know that you are a head case who is losing in life with such a magnitude that he has to assume some self appointed vaulted position of importance on a football forum to feel better about himself.
you need some help, but you'll never seek it since you have no idea how fucked up you are. Your problem is a lot deeper than just being an asshole

BTW - i don't buy the "joke" defense . . . you don't have that much of a sense of humor

You are unfuckinreal. We get it, it's not groudbreaking material that many timing passes are thrown in the NFL. You are not opening anyones eyes to anything new. However the comeback route is in every playbook in the NFL and is as common as any other pattern you can list.

It is also a timing play and not as simple as you make it sound. You are just bullshiting to save face. I had a friend take me to a Patriots QB workout in 1999 and watched Bledsoe and John Friesz throw the deep comeback over and over to Terry Glen and Ben Coates and a bunch of other recievers I don't remember. The position coaches were relentless with the QB's and recievers working on technique and timing, just like every other route.

You are just making up a defense because you ran your mouth and painted yourself in a corner and are too stupid to drop it.

That's pretty funny, however if you told me you were being serious, I would believe you.

And the Patriots playbook, too. I guess that's mislabeled. I didn't have the heart to look at the Henning book, but it's the same lineage.
