I think Gamecock fans are the most annoying.

I'm damn glad, NinerAdvocate, NormanNiner, Savio and myself travel will a different crowd than you.

The post fever was only to let you know that when it comes to personal support of the Charlotte program, there are few around to match it other than with $$$. I was there when we won, when we've lost and shamefully was in attendance with perhaps 700 people in the old Coliseum to see Hal Wissel show flash card plays. I was there when Jeff Mullins resurected the basketball program, I was a Melvin Watkins fan for over 20 years. Lutz was a suitemate of mine in Moore Hall and guess what, I'm still traveling to Charlotte as a fan.

Say what you you want to about me, Carolina still sucks.

I'll close with this tidbit I found...
Arizona athletics director Jim Livengood, this year's chairman of the selection committee, recently said something that should worry Tar Heel fans.

When asked if he favored giving at-large tournament invitations to teams with losing records in their own conferences, Livengood replied: "No. In my mind, that's very hard to justify."

That could spell doom for the Tar Heels, who need to win three more games to finish 7-9 in the ACC.

Ten teams with losing conference records have earned bids over the last decade - four to the ACC, three to the Big Ten and one each to the Southeastern Conference, Big East and Big 12.

Even a 6-10 ACC team has earned a bid (Florida State in 1998), but Livengood wants to discourage such a practice.

I'm beginning to hate myself. I have regressed to bong hits. I think I'll be smoking crack by the end of this season. Next year if Doherty is still around and I'm not dead or in jail, I'll pick up heroin.

I should be reveling in this mass outpouring of Heel agony...

    There's always next year.

    If the Heels get...

    Another outstanding recruiting class

    Everyone stays healthy...

    and a drum roll please

NEW coach, things could change... I hear there's some old guy named Smith in that building - probably a janitor or something. Maybe he could coach for just ONE year...

    Or in the ACC tourney?
