heard that about Nixon. Even so, these big time recruits are considering UNC and taking visits. That has never happened.

I don't know about that. UNC has always been able to get athletes, maybe not 5 star, but certainly up there. Where they've been lacking is in well developed skill players like QB, OL, etc. Personally I'd much rather get the OT than the rest of the ones combined, but it doesn't look likely.

I never knew OL was considered a skill position

When most people use the term "skill position," they mean QB, RB, and WR, but most people are also idiots. RBs and WRs depend more on athleticism than skill, while OL depends much more on skill than athleticism.

Just saw in the paper that Butch has commitments from 4 of the state's top 5 prospects. That's awesome.

Big win over Ga Tech. The offense was not very good but they took advantage of some turnovers. 7-2 is pretty good for a team without it's starting QB and top WR.

To say Brandon Tate is UNC's top WR is false. Hakeem Nicks is their top reciever and has been for the three years he's been on campus. He just went atop of the school's all time recieving yards list against GT....

Brandon Tate was the most explosive player on the field for UNC, but not the best WR. I hate it that Tate was lost because he had a chance break a lot of records (NCAA all purpose yards for one). Tate gave them an option they no longer have, but that makes Nicks' accomplishments this season even more impressive. Everyone knows who is getting the ball and he still gets it done.

Nicks hasn't had his starting QB or 2nd WR to relieve pressure from him but he's still leading the ACC in receiving.

Defense was AWESOME despite the long TD run in the 4th quarter. They gave up a ton of yards on the ground but didn't break.

It was nice to see TJ Yates come in and get a few snaps, it'll be interesting to see who gets the nod against Maryland.
