are AD's across the country normally not alumni of the school they're AD at?

Well, the bigger problem is we haven't got rid of an AD who sucks regardless of where he is an alumni from.

Yeah, there is no doubt that basketball is king in Chapel Hill. Hopefully, Butch Davis will get the football program more and more respect and support though. I really don't see who they could have hired that was any more perfect for this particular job.

BTW, I probably wouldn't have brought up women's soccer if we were having this conversation face to face either.

personally, i follow unc basketball, football, and baseball. when the basketball/football games are not on tv, or i'm busy working or whatever, i tune into 94.1 FM. i'd listen to the baseball games as well if they were broadcast. i've done this for years.

That's what I follow for NCSU. I mean, yeah, it's great if another sport is doing well but really, I don't personally follow anything but those three.

Easily, and kudos to them for that. My sister and all her friends (recent grads) are nuts about football.

I guess continued mediocrity in basketball does that to you. Half the time they don't even remember that its UNC vs. State basketball gameday.

The same way that UNC Chapel Hill fans don't forget a single football game, they forget it's football season?
