2007? Did both coaches not have a recruiting class that year?

Oh, so you're just comparing which coach is better as a college coach? From 1998-2000, Butch was 3-0 against BC. Couldn't find 1997, O'Brien's first season at BC.

 

Fair enough....OK now compare head to head since they took over their respective programs 2 years ago.

AND one reason I'm pretty jacked up is LAST YEARS game was NOT NEAR as close as the final score indicates. Daniel Evans single handedly kept UNC in that game with 2 gifts. Otherwise you are looking at 2 prison bitch slappings in a row. State was up 17-0 driving to make it 20 or 24 and turn out the lights early when DE gave you the first gift and let you stay in the game.

 

The prediction is based on Nicks staying for next year, which looks like he won't be back. Why are you saying we're scared? We have out scored UNC by 36 points the last two games and this past year we dominated UNC on both sides of the ball.

 

To the degree that they both came in mid-recruiting class, I didn't even think about that class honestly but given those players have had two years in the program and are now 0-2 versus NCSU, it would be fair to say that's not a plus for UNC.

Too bad for Butch that this isn't Miami and the recruiting grounds are vastly different now than what he had at Miami. In their current programs, Butch is 0-2 with theoretically more talent based on all the staaaaaaaaas you guys have had. Thus, until proven otherwise, at the current moment, TOB has to be called the better coach.

 

BTW, the funny part of those 2007 classes (which UNCs was ranked higher than NCSUs though again, they are 0-2 against NCSU so far) is that Paulus was a 4* QB and Russell Wilson was a 2*. Take your staaaaaas and we'll take our wins.

Yeah, we are running scared for sure. With a bunch of 4/5 stars like Paulus/Manboobs Austin/Dwight 'Clemson academically rejected me' Jones running around, it's no wonder TOB is just shaking in his boots.
