Yeah, that makes tons of sense.

 

If there was a long term pattern of cheating at UNC, you might have a point, but there are 2 problems you have.

1 - This is pretty much an isolated incident
2 - None of the academic issues have been shown to have any university involvement whatsoever

Oh yeah - if you want to bring up academics and athletics, let's talk about being amphibian....

 

I guess by "isolated" you mean the UNC football team?

 

They were also the favorite to win the ACC and go to a BCS bowl game. If you had the chance to win a NCAA championship and make easy money, then I would stay too.

Funny you have to go back to the 80s for ours and yeah, keep thinking there was no university involvement. Chief Cheater is making a crapload of money and has no idea all his star players are cheating academically. I hope you really don't believe that!? By the slight chance (similiar chance to Dwight Jones scoring over 1000 on his SAT) that he didn't know, he is about the worst example of a poor leader to make all that money and have absolutely no control of his program. Should be fired on the spot!

 

Well, I'm sure that the agent your Assistant Head Coach (and lead recruiter and DL coach) was running for promised he would make it worth their while and help move them up in the draft to make even bigger bang while making sure they didn't have any wants go unfulfilled during the year (which absolutely came true as we know from Marvin Austin's tweets. Just trust Blake!!!

Perhaps you are not quite understanding. I was refering to the UNC players ALREADY in the pros coming back to Chapel Hill. The current players almost all go to summer school, so they would have already been there. Also, Austin screwed himself on draft status, so arguing that he somehow made a savvy move would be quite an interesting point of view. Quinn was most likely going to be a top 10 pick regardless.

And just to make sure you understand that there are seperate allegations, could you please list for me what you think each of these guys did? Because so far, the only suspended players were suspended for the taking money issue - and based on the amounts involved, it would have been impossible for the coaches to know that they had committed a violation.

 

Please detail the proof and suspensions based on any academic issues.
