Or during the game when we have a 2 score lead and they have 9 yards of total offense. :behead:

When it comes down to it, Division 1 football in the Carolina's is pathetic!
In 31 seasons, UNC, State, Wake, & Duke only have 1 ACC title each to show: State (1979), UNC (1980), Wake (2006), Duke (shared a title w/ Va. in 1989). Heck, South Carolina has never won an SEC title and you have to go back to 1969 (when the Gamecocks were in the ACC) to locate their last title. Clemson is the only Division 1 school in the Carolina's with any success (6 titles since 1979.) ECU has had some success in a much weaker conference.

I honestly believe Davis is better than TOB... only problem is until UNC beats State, Tar Heel fans (like myself) have to suffer with State fans. Head to head they keep beating the Heels. With that the garner the right to mock us, but when the tide turns will they stick around to hear it?

agree, and agree to karl. My take is, the direction Davis has the program going with the aforementioned points, I think UNC has a better chance of having better success in the future.

Have you ever been to Lubbock Texas ? Nobody in their right mind would leave Chapel Hill for Texas Tech.

I think Davis & O'Brien are both good coaches. Currently thou, the only good thing O'Brien has done for State fans is beat UNC 3 times. Davis has 2 straight winning seasons (2 bowl trips), while O'Brien hasn't had a winning season yet. So Davis has the Tar Heels going in the right direction. I'm sure State fans are anxious to see how O'Brien's 4th year will turn out. By year 4, you'd expect some improvement. On the flip side, Davis has 3 huge monkeys on his back: 0-3 vs. State, 0-3 vs. Virginia, & 0-2 in bowl games. Heck, he's 3-0 vs. Miami, & he's won games against Ga. Tech, BC, & Va. Tech. The UNC/State series has had some long streaks in it. State won 5 in a row (1988 to 1992), & then UNC won 7 straight (1993 to 1999), Bunting took 3, and now O'Brien has 3. It's a good rivalry!

I feel good about that fact, especially on defense. The offense worries me now. If something doesn't change there, next season could be, once again, frustrating. The schedule is not easy:

    LSU: in Atlanta
    ECU
    William & Mary
    @ Rutgers
    Clemson
    Ga. Tech
    @ Miami
    @ FSU
    @ Va.
    @ Duke
    Va. Tech
    N.C. State

Not sure about the order of the games yet.
