Yeah, it was clear that Carolina was the "better team." UNC has vastly more talent than Maryland, but the "better team" doesn't win unless they actually play better. Maryland wanted it more, they played better, and they deserved the win.

That game shouldn't have been as close as it was, Maryland outplayed them the whole way, they just couldn't get it done in the endzone.

Carolina's problem is the same problem they have had all year. They can't run the ball very well because they are not physical enough up front. They try to run it early then abort it. In a game like Maryland you must be able to get some yards by grinding it and keeping your defense off the field. Droughn is a good back and Houston is good at the goal line but it's the grunts up front that must improve. A tough loss for sure but 7-3 is a big improvement although you could make the argument that they could be 10-0.

Watch out for State, they are getting a lot better week to week.

Maryland is tough at home and their QB made plays (like the 4th down run) while Sexton didn't.

Sexton made a few good throws that were dropped (Littles was huge) but he was very off for the most part. I was hoping they'd put Yates in a series or two because I knew it would come down to the last minute drive at the end.

Now lets cross our fingers for a Miami, VT, and UVA loss! Not likely but who knows what will happen the last two weeks.

The State game will be huge, they've gotten it together the last few weeks.
