But there isn't a better team playing college ball right now. I don't care how good Illinois is playing they aren't as good as UNC. And there sure isn't a better team in the ACC - Wake and Tech will give them a run but they won't beat them.

this forum is way too dead and I figure a thread like this will rile up the dookies.

Basketball is on Christmas break right now, so no one really cares. I personally don't give a crap if UNC goes to the final four, as long as we beat your ass both games I'll be happy.

Illinois is clearly the best team in the country right now. They just absolutely crushed Wake Forest, and although the game was at home, no one was going to beat them. Kentucky is in a down year (for them) but so is the SEC. Oklahoma State looks great. The only difference between the top teams is that Duke, Oklahoma State, Illinois and Kansas didn't need a loss to start playing good. If UNC doesn't win a national title this year, then they won't win it for a long time cause I have a feeling May, McCants, or Felton will leave and the Sophomore class at UNC right now isn't it's strongest :laugh1: They might be playing great right now, but there's still so much time left and everyone has a winning record going into the ACC season. Any of the top 7 teams have at least a legit chance of going real deep in the tournament. It should be an interesting season, and if I don't have a heart attack by the end of it, it'll be a miracle

Isn't possible at ALL that maybe Wake was slightly overrated is it? Never it would force someone to say UNC is better. Note I like the fact you attempted to cut Kentucky's program in a way to undercut UNC's win over them, but Kentucky would crush dook this year. No question in my mind, because they're strong in the positions that dook is weak at. May stays... no question he'll be back. The question marks are McCants, Felton and M. Williams. And I could be wrong at this point I think Felton returns and the primary question marks are the other two. then you bring in Tyler Hansbrough, Danny Green, Bobby Frasier and Marcus Ginyard next year... so I'm not overly concerned furthermore if no one else has caught it Quentin Thomas is finally showing some development in running the point and I think he'll be looking much better come the end of Jan. into Feb. So I'm not quite as concerned about UNC's future as you should be dook's.

BTW- Josh McRoberts will be a lottery pick.

True they should have won, but I am not as concerned about that lose as you seem to be, since Felton didn't play. No matter what anybody says he is the most important player on our team, not saying he is the best, but is the most important.

Duke is a little undermanned this year but they should still give UNC all it can handle. UNC does not play well as a team they are simply a bunch of good atheletes not a great basketball team. Someone will beat them in the tournament before they even get to the final four. They will probably play well against Duke though, they always do.

WOW... just WOW... you don't even have a CLUE on this one do you. Have you even watched 1 UNC game all season? Their entire game plan is team based. They run a trapping defense and and use picks and play "inside-out" to open players on offense. I can't believe you'd be stupid enough to even post this. I'm not saying that dook want play UNC to a good game, because both teams normally do every year no matter their records, but to say UNC plays as individuals and not as a team is completely retarded. I mean go look at ANY publication their is out their that reports daily sports news. Watch a damned Carolina game. Damn dude sometimes you should SERIOUSLY think or have a clue what you're talking about before posting.

Wake might be a tad overrated, but c'mon, they are still a top 10 team easy. Their lineup is deep and talented and they have one of the best backcourts in the country. Even if they are a little overrated it's not like they aren't a top 15 team at least. I think all the NC schools for the most part have had a lot easier schedule than in year's past (That includes Duke and UNC), but everyone knows with the ACC, they're strength of schedules will jump up like crazy in two or three weeks after playing ranked team after ranked team. I like Duke being the underdog, and not talked about much. They are slowly climbing up the polls with hardly anyone noticing
