"The Secret"?

So Hasbeens - what did your church have to say about this topic?

 

He's talking about it again this week.

Overall, the claims the book makes are pretty bold and fantastic, to say the least. I'm having a difficult time seeing any logic or sound reasoning behind it, other than just telling desperate people what they want to hear, appealing to the innate god-complex we all have to one degree or another.

I'll be interested to see how this week goes.

 

I watched the secret online when the full version was on youtube. Now you can watch it on youtube, but in bits and pieces, but it's still complete.

I fell in love with it. It has done wonders for my confidence and beliefs in myself and our Creator.

Some people say it's bull. I say, just try it and if you don't want to do it then you don't have to.. not everything works for everyone, but you will have something stick with you that was said, because they give a lot of great advice for life.

My favorite and better than the secret is called What the Bleep. Check that one out, it's amazing.. they talk more upon quantom physics.

 

Ummmmmm, sounds like trying to use 'faith' to me without having the moral backing (i.e. God/Jesus) to back up what you believe you will get what you desire/need/want (i.e. healing, financial breakthrough, etc.).

 

Maybe go BACK and read Robert Schullers "Power of Positive Thinking" WE just go in cycles and call things by new names.

I like Positive Thinking and all, I'm a positive person. But if I spend my timing vizualizing or thinking of what I want, when am I gonna find time to Praise God, which is why he created me to begin with.

 

I remember when Hubbard's "Dianetics" was the big self-help craze, back before we found out about Scientology.

You wake up, go to work, eat three meals, take one good shit and go to bed.
