The San Francisco Prophecy: Coming Soon or something to ignore ? ?

Ok, Here is my prophecy.

It is truly the last days.

People will not have enough money.

I predict a new exercise trend where people exercise nude.

A new disease will kill record numbers of people.

There will be a great famine...somewhere.

Some one will step up that will make Paris Hilton look like a nun.

There will be at least 1 more superhero movie.

Disco will come back.

Sad times indeed!

I just found out that the lady who wrote the prophecy on San Francisco (Wendy Alec) is the co-founder of GOD TV with her husband Rory. Last night, GOD TV aired a big gathering out in San Francisco with folks praying & interceding for the city . . .

THE BOTTOM LINK: Hmmmmmmmmm, it makes you think for a minute: 1) God reveals this prophecy to Wendy Alec saying something bad was going to happen to the city 2) this apparently mobilized many folks to pray for mercy for the city and 'stand in the gap' to prevent the wrath of God to be poured out. Was this the end result God was aiming for in the log run (i.e. get more folks to prevent and light a fire of evangelism in the SF/Bay Area)? Just wondering . . .

Your assuming it came from God. It could be an amateur strategy. If something does happen, the ladies a prophet. If it doesn't, God heard their prayers and she has an out for being totally wrong in the first place.

Why wouldn't God just ask her to pray for San Francisco if that's what he wanted?

 

Bump . . . . I changed the link from my last post about the San Francisco Solemn Assembly to go directly to the Webcast site at GOD-TV webiste . . . . I think its about 3-4 hours long.

THE BOTTOM LINE: This 'prayer meeting for intercession' that took place for San Francisco, do y'all think it could be the spark for a spiritual revival of the city. We all know that San Francisco is pretty much the most libearl city in the country. Could this be the start to swing the needle towards the right (if even just a tad) ? ? ? Just wondering . . .

let's just say for argument's sake that there is a god who does things like destroying a city unless enough people pray to him not to destroy it.

that doesn't mean that there aren't people who lie to make a buck or get some publicity.

 

So, you think Ms. Alec is doing this to just make a buck ? ? ? How can we tell if she's not genuinely concerned about the well being of the folks of San Francisco ? ? ?

 

put it this way, i think it's more plausible that she's making this up for her own gain rather than having gotten some vision from god about the destruction of sf. i suppose i'd also put the possibility that she's kinda crazy and thinks she got a vision ahead of the possibility that she got a vision.

but i guess it depends on your view of the world. personally, i think there have been more nuts and liars than prophets.
