Can we beat the Cards? I was thinking this might be as close as we get to a gimme game, but after seeing them whip up on the Giants yesterday, I'm worried. We need a kicker, and we've got to run more closer to the goal line as long as we have time left on the clock.

Only prob is until Foster gets healthy and returns we don't have a back that's quick enough at turning the corner to run down the sidelines... Lamar Smith, Nick Goings and Dee Brown are all North-South runners

What I meant was, twice yesterday before the end of the game we were in scoring position and we fumbled trying to throw when we should have been running. Then at the end of the game, Peete tried to keep it when he should have thrown it. I don't get the play calling.

We should be favored - although they will provide some problems on offense. The Cards are better than advertised on offense. Jones is coming around and Boston is an elite guy. Their OL is very physical. This will be a tough game, but if the Panthers don't give up TOs they should be able to handle Zona.

Haven't we been the underdog in every game so far?

I'd prefer NOT to be favored, I just wanna win. I think if we give up 3 turnovers, we'll lose for sure. Peete's pocket awareness doesn't seem too good, he never seems to "feel" the guys behind him.

    Leonard Davis vs. Julius Peppers

That should be the matchup of the week right there. A classic example of "The Irresistable Force against The Immovable Object". The bad news for Julius is that even if he starts to beat Davis with his speed and agility, Freddie Jones is right there to help out if need be.

The good news is I don't think L.J. Shelton will be able to hold back Rucker all day. He should be good for a couple of sacks, don't you think?

The Cards have a decent interior OL, probably the best we've seen thusfar this year. Our front four will have to bring their A game this week for sure. And we might see some more blitzing, especially from the corner. Plummer can be rattled if you get to him early.

Leonard Davis plays right guard. Peppers plays left end so that means unless Davis is being used to DOUBLE team Peppers then he won't be playing against him... and if he IS doubling Peppers its nice to see Davis will be ignoring the other guys on our line
