They have a very good team. They should win it all.

    Phillies NL E Champs again

Chooch has been gold for us this season.

What do you foresee happening to Werth? Think the Phils will put out the bucks in even light of his dismal performance with RISP?

Werth is probably asking for more than he'll get in Philly. I have heard he is looking for 12 mil a year. I believe Ibanez is in his last year of his contract so they could be filling 2 OF spots next year. Dominic Brown has one for sure but who the other one falls to I am unsure. Probably a vet on the cheap. they have locked up Halladay (2 more years), Hamels for (4 years) and Oswalt thru next year, and Howard for 4 more years. Not sure about Utley (my Phillie MVP), Victorino and Rollins. They need to start getting younger as most of the team is pushing 30 or already past (polanco, and Ibanez)

IMO Werth is History! From my sources he is looking for a salary in the range of Jason Bay's which is for around $16M a year. Not going to happen in Philly right now. Recently his average with RISP was a wonderful .160! Are you kidding me. Plus he strikes out as many times as Howard. He is over or near 160+ so far this year. I have been told (sources from the inside) that Werth is not well liked by his team mates! Hope it's not true, but you never know. We all know what happend to Brett Myers last year didn't we! Ibanez does have one year left on his contract and he is no longer a young man, but has been playing like a young stud lately. Used him as trade bait! Brown (IMO) has a lot of question makrs with this kid. One reason that really concerns me his that he doesn't walk very often. I know that he needs to play more, but dam ..... a .212 (not sure but close) batting average! We'll see!

    NL Title: CHECK

Phillies will dominate whoever they meet for the NL Title, and not sure if the AL has anything for them either. Game 1 (CC vs. Halladay) will be a must win for the Yanks if they can make it to the series. Yankee pitching overall won't be able to match Philly. Yankees might have to get past the Rays again, which won't be easy.

Halladay gets the Cy Young award. No surprise. I'm sure it's been done but what pitcher has won Cy Young's in both leagues before? Clemens win in Houston? Pedro Martinez?
