I agree and I grew up in that town. Though I still have family in the area and get to attend a handful of Phillies games a year.................. I completely agree with you on the statement about the Phillies fans of today. If you ask most of them , they have no idea of the team history let alone who played for the team in the early 2000's. Just a few years ago, NO ONE and I mean no one, but the diehards, wore Phillies stuff. Now they are all over the place!

From Elias: The Phillies lost two games to the Mets, dropping their season record to 98-60 and extending their losing streak to eight. Philadelphia now has the longest-ever losing streak by a team that had won at least 95 games to that point. The old record was by the 96-win 1987 Blue Jays, who lost their last seven games, losing the A.L. East title to the Tigers on the last day of the season.

Don`t worry guys the Braves are coming and they`ll end your losing streak.

Sweep is nice but it just opened the gate to a RED HOT Cardinal team. Phils lost and they would play the D-Backs now they play the Cardinals.

    Oh well that's another day
102 wins and Charlie Manuel moves into first place in wins by a Philly manager

Looks like the Phillies unearthed their bats.
