Big weekend with all kinds of playoff ramifications. Phillies head to Brewtown to play 4 against the NL central leading Brewers while the Braves head to St Louis via a 1 game makeup in NY verses the Mets. Braves lead the Cardinals by 6.5.

Meanwhile the Mets still suck

Congratulations to the National League Yankees (although without the history of success, obviously). Buy more pennants and ruin baseball while you're at it.

You forgot their bandwagon fans. Worse than the Braves.

Only free agent the Phillies "bought" was Lee. Halladay was in a trade, Pence, Lidge and Oswalt a trade. Hamels, Victorino, Howard, Rollins, and Ruez home grown. Just because they have the means and the fan base to afford their salaries (sellouts the last 3 years) shouldn't be held against them. Look at the Mets, they give money away and have shit to show for it. The Phillies AAA team is in the International league championship series. They draft and produce good players to trade or bring up to fill in holes and move forward

Been a Phillie fan as well as A's since I can remember. My grandfather took me to my first game in Philadelphia when I was 5. For the longest time he wouldn't acknowledge the A's moved. If I were a band wagon fan why would anyone pull for the team with the most losses in MLB history? The Phillies finally have a front office and manager worth a shit

Relax. I'm sure you're nothing like the folks that started showing up three years ago to fill up Citizens Bank Park.
