Did the Jews kill Jesus> Sure. But I hate to think where I would be if they didn't and for that I am grateful.

Here's a news flash: the movie was not made to be entertaining.

that's not true. gibson made all sorts of decisions to make the movie more entertaining and accessible.

i find it interesting that jews are complaining about being portrayed as the bad guys and there isn't a huge outcry from the italians of the world for the portrayal the romans get. 'sup with that?

the talk of deadly violence not killing people reminds me of the final scene of braveheart. wallace's inners are being ripped from him (presumably) and yet his diaphragm is still intact enough for him to yell? good movie aside from that part, tho.

I wonder the same thing. Everyone's moved by the violence the Christ endured and are blaming the joos. Sure they handed him to the Romans, but the Romans are the ones that tortured him. If I were so inclined, I would be more upset with the Romans than the joos.

Oh it absolutely was. He missed the mark, but it's a MOVIE. Movies are for entertainment (which is one point all the fundies are forgetting) and this one in particular was embellished almost beyond reason. This movie wasn't a catechism lesson, it's a money maker and Mel knew exactly what buttons to push with it to milk that cash cow for all it was worth.

I'm like Stan and Kenny....I want my money back.
