Long snapping is a specific skill, which requires a lot of practice. Plus, if you look around the league and college FB, you'll notice most of those guys aren't real bulky...the reason is that it does require a skill player level of flexibility and athleticism to be accurate and get the ball back there fast enough.

A long snapper's job isn't just to snap the ball and block. He also needs to be able to sprint downfield after a punt in order to help cover kicks and potentially make an open-field tackle on a shifty punt returner. Nowadays, virtually all NFL offensive linemen who play significant snaps on offense weigh at least 290 pounds, so it would be tough even for very athletic offensive linemen to make a good tackle attempt on an agile punt returner weighing 190 pounds. The vast majority of modern long snappers are around 245 pounds because that's "big enough" to block while "small enough" to still be able to sprint downfield and tackle returners in space.

Just use him like Shanny used Samuel (pre CMC). ..
but once again, a facet we'd need a better O-line for

I'm not sure the offensive 3 qb coach braintrust is that creative.

You never know what you have in a guy when he has to play behind our 3rd string Olinemen, which by the way, got cut too, for the most part.
For sure, he is not good enough Not to play behind a good oline.

Good luck to the young man. Sounded like he had a few personal demons in his past he had to do battle with.
So who is going to be that emergency 3rd string going to be now? Doesn't the league require one?

"Overall, 13 of Rhule's 24 draft picks from 2020 to 2022 no longer are on the 53-man roster.

Thomas-Oliver and Brown were brought back as practice squad members on Wednesday. Corral is a candidate for that if he clears waivers and isn't signed by another team."

Panthers picked up a DB, an LB and an Olineman on waivers.

at least they did not trade up to do it:)
