Man, they cut Bumper Pool. He's done a hell lot lot more than DJ Johnson.
But a lot easier to cut considering his draft spot.

    Lack of alternatives.

Those two guys suck, but I wouldn't want anyone behind them getting anywhere close to a regular season game.

I do think they'll be aggressive on the waiver wire after final cuts next week. This team needs depth pretty much everywhere except ILB and S.

I wonder if anyone on the new staff thinks they can finally unlock Henderson. He has all the physical talent in the world.

I doubt it. He's never really been good, even dating back to college. Those types get drafted in the 1st round every year and most of them become journeymen backups.

I don't see any surprises next week. You can extrapolate from final preseason game snap counts. Anyone playing well into the second half is not making the team.

Will grier played the whole game, hopes NFL GMs don't ask for regular season tape before picking up the phone

The Panthers will rue the day they cut Bumper Pool.

Some of you guys help me out. I'm looking at the few folks being cut but don't have ya'lls knowledge of who sucks and doesn't. We need some depth and I'm not sold on our offensive weapons

Although I agree our weapons are offensive, I think it will be Monday/Tuesday before most trades go down. Most teams including the Panther are getting rid of a dozen or so Camp Bodies right now, while they try to test trades.

    I think we need
    34 OLB
    DLine depth
    Oline depth
    WR help
    CB help

Let me get back after 5 games into the season.
No one here has a clue what is really needed till we see the real players play as a team.
That last preseason game showed me a peak at what is possible with this offense.
As far as the D goes, the real starters saw very little field time.
I'm not going to judge until the starters get a few whole games under their belt.
A good QB can make average receivers look better.
A good RB can make an average OL feel good about themselves.
Pressure from a good DL can make a suspect secondary look efficient.
