Most people remember Wilson for running around like a chicken with a broken neck.
Buying time till he saw a receiver that was open. I really don't want to see a Panthers' QB have to make a living doing that.

Do something wild like trade back into the first and grab the favourite receiver of whichever QB we take from their college team :grlaugh:

    Worked well for Burrow/Chase, Hurts/Smith etc :1:

Maybe if the Texans want to trade really bad, we can trade them 1 and 39 for 2 and 12.

Then we take Stroud and Ngigba and have the college combo

Anyone know if Ngakoue is still available? If so, is he worth paying?? From what i gather he would be a better bookend with Burns than anyone we could draft at #39. Maybe a red flag that he would be with his third team in as many years ???

Fitt said today that Frankie would move inside and outside, depending on the set. Same with Chinn, he will move around the defense depending on what is called for. I don't think Chinn will be used as OLB however. Yannick is still available. I read a couple days ago that he and Dallas would be a good fit.

They have already let it be known shortly after Evero's hiring that his 3/4 D was not a static thing. It was a fluid D that was easily adaptable to fit the team they were playing.

Looking at the depth chart just now it SEEMS like carolina currently has 10 effective enough guys to rotate on the D-line. There really is not a glaring hole there that I can see. Sure, it would be great to have a better pass rusher opposite Burns but how many teams have a Burns caliber player on each side? Not really necessary . .. so I could see them using no more moves (or draft picks) in that area.
Another realization was that carolina did not lose a deep threat homerun hitter at WR. Moore was actually in largest part an intermediate guy (2nd in the league since 2019 in targets 10 to 19 yrds from LOS). That should be a place were Thielen will still shine. The guy that Reich apparently wants was not going to be D.J. anyway . .. he is not a speed guy who stretchs the field. I think they clearly intend to add speed at WR (maybe with Chark AND at pick #37). It's possible that if they have a specific rook WR in mind they will trade #145 &/or a future pick to move up some to get him. For an offense minded EX-QB HC and staff who will have to have WR targets to succeed, our WR group is not nearly dangerous enough.
The other glaring hole (aside from WR) is LB, and even if they do move Chinn around they still need at least one more LB. Hopefully at #93 there is a solid 3-4 suited LB that can be coached up in a hurry.
Third realization - they really might pick Young instead of Stroud. If they want a guy to make reads and zip through progressions by opening day then Young is as suited for that as anyone since andrew luck.

Bad part about this draft is ILB and WR class is kinda weak. Whereas, TE, RB, CB is a strong group, but we have most of this covered.

What you don't want to do is reach for a guy. Don't pick up a bottom 3rd round talent in the upper part of the 2nd round.

Drew Sanders dropping to early 2nd would be great for us, but doubt he is there for ILB
A WR or DE dropping from 1st round would also be great

Young and Stroud both have some good traits and a couple weaknesses. I guess our guys will take all into account
