The Osbournes was scripted??

I'm not a frequent watcher of this show, but I happened to catch last night's episode. At the end, they revealed that the entire episode had been scripted, and showed a few scenes from earlier shows that had also been scripted. Has the entire series been scripted? Did anyone else watch this?

 

I saw that. I took it as a joke. The last episode may have been scripted but I doubt the whole season was. I did get a good laugh when Ozzy said "Does this mean I don't have the say the F word anymore?"

I'll wait for proof from a realiable source before I make any other judgments.

 

No kidding, Sharon Osbourne admitted this on talk show I was flipping by the first season it was on.

 

I watched it last night and afterwards walked away unsure if I was missing a joke or not. Were they basically admitting that every show was scripted and they had pulled the wool over everyone's eyes for 2 years, or just last nights show?

 

Gee. There's a shock. I hope y'all aren't too amazed when I tell you that -say - Survivor and The Real World are edited by a producer for maximum dramatic effect as well.

 

Of course it is obviously scripted. You guys are too naive.

 

of course they are edited. you have to condense weeks and months of footage into 12 episodes, or however many. But, scripting is a whole nother ball of wax. I thought the last episode is just a prank and it was funny, but the rest of the shows were unscripted, I hope.

 

No shit it is edited. That isn't what we are talking about. It showed them shooting multiple takes of the same scene, and Ozzy reading from cue cards.

 

uh yeah, like I said, Sharon said it was all acting on a talk show the first season. Have you ever seen a real interview with Ozzy? He doesn't mumble like that and fall out of chairs and act that stupid and drunk all of the time. He was quite with it when he's not "acting".

 

next thing you know they will tell us wrestling is scripted
