    Thank God for the child deduction. It's going to save my ass this year. Past several years I've owed $2-$3,000/year but this year it looks like it may only be around $500. I can't remember the last time I actually got a refund.

    I can. But I was a broke ass grad student at the time so I'd probably rather forget. Last year we pretty much broke even between state and Feds.

    But this year? I'll take a pic of the new deck once it's built and put it in this thread later on.

    He's a fool. I honestly don't see how he even has any credit left. The stupid money decisions would also explain the marriage problems from a few years back. If he gets sick or something the bank is gonna come claim everything he owns. But then again at that point the government will step in and we'll be paying. Frankly I don't think he should spend money on internet access unless its a necessary job expense, but if that was the case he could always write it off.

    Speaking of cool threads - the 'hall of fame' needs to be killed. All those threads basically die there.

    Almost 3 years later (nuts) I wonder if the Cougar is negative equity?
