    Interesting stuff, thanks. At that price you might be right about making a change, especially since he really shouldn't be more than a situational pass rusher. As thin as we are at DT, though, I'd be surprised if it happened.

    I'm not a Jake hater but Garcia could be a hell of an insurance policy. I can't figure out what Gruden didn't like about the guy.

    Gruden don't like any QBs he's ever had, short of Gannon. And I don't think he really liked him either.

    Gruden probably has a mind better than any QB on earth, but never had the physical skills to be successful himself. I think that's where his frustration stems from. He's always looking for that one guy who can think exactly like him, because he lives vicariously through the quarterback.

    That makes sense as to why he did work very well with Gannon, who had a very sharp mind and is one of the few TV analysts that seems to have some idea there's a football game he's covering more than five minutes before he's on air.

    But yeah, he kinda did help screw himself by not settling in on one guy. Had he done that, he could've had a chance to help any of the other areas of the team and had consistency.
