The Niners sign two talented post players, add to a loaded team

    articles about Dedrick Spooner and CJ Pigford

    Spooner is a strong rebounder and shot blocker, Pigford is a finesse type forward who can shoot the three but also grab some rebounds.

    The Niners are gonna be loaded next year.
    They add:
    Martin Iti (#1 center in the land)
    Marcus Bennett (one of the best JUCO players in the nation last year)
    Brendan Plavich (led the SEC in three point shooting in '02)
    Dedrick Spooner (rebounds and blocks shots)
    CJ Pigford (shot 61% last year at Lon Morris)

    They lose:
    Curtis Nash (was a solid pg, nothing great)
    Butter Johnson (biggest underachiever ever)
    Tory Reed (decent at best)
    Tyler Best (will never be more than a bench warmer in D-1)

    Oh and dont forget that Demon Brown will be back again for his senior year.
    Next year will be a very good year for Niner fans

    thats a killer starting lineup, and 6 bench players that are all good enough to be starters. this niner team could be the deepest team i have ever seen. man i cant wait til next year.

    Iti being number one Center in the country is a bit off... top 5-10 Center prospect... I've seen #1 some places and #10 in others

    He's normally listed BELOW Kendrick Perkins(Memphis), David Padgett (Kansas), Brian Butch (Wisconsin), James Lang (Undecided), and Robert Whaley (Cincinatti)... as a matter of fact he's rated a 4-star center while those others are all rated 5-star centers.
