spurrier is not coming to that train wreck. They are too bad for him and have ZERO talent. It will take him 3 years to win there. His reputation cant wait that long.

I think that the conventional wisdom is that UNC has all the tools needed to be a powerhouse. Great facilities, good recruiting base, alumni who will pay the right coach plenty of cash for him and his assistants. A sleeping giant as it were.

UNC has proven it CAN be a great program - they just haven't proven that they can sustain it long term.

I don't want Spurrier anywhere near Kenan stadium unless he bought a ticket. Are there any other Stoops brothers out there?

    good point.

take for example, DB went after Roy b/c he was the most successful basketball coach, IE his winning percentage. he will also go after and fight hard to go after a successful winning football coach, IE Steve Spurrier.

the 2 major sports at UNC, basketball is fixed up with one of the finest coachs in NCAA college basketball, and then theres Bunting. I'm sorry, but UNC alum didn't drop a billion dollars on Kenan Stadium renovations to see 475 yards given up to W&M. So, DB will go after and spend what it takes to make the Alum happy.

cmon folks, he won when he was at Duke. DUKE, of all freakin' schools. If he can make Duke win, he for SURE can make UNC win. UNC has more talent now, than when he stepped in at Duke. Question is, does he have the patience to take over and wait 2 or more years to turn it around. If he uses his Redskin work ethic, (show up at 9am leave at 3pm and dont do shit), then he should be a perfect fit. Just win ball games is all DB is worried about.

Just to let you know, these are the same Alumni who drove Bill Dooley away because he was too boring. Yep, it was real boring watching old Bill kick our ass at Wake.

i had the receivers in mind more than anything. they have some very good talent at wr. good young players there too. they have talent scattered all over the field, its just a shame it gets wasted the way it does.

ps.......defense on the other hand, well, we could piece together a better tbr defense.

for the most part, I strongly disagree with our Alumni as well as DB. I honestly hate DB. We lost Mack Brown, Dean Smith and our baseball coach a few years ago who's kicks ass at GT I believe.

The major ones are Mack Brown and Dean. Dean got tired of his shit, and the business aspect DB kept putting into his game, so he left.

Baddour wouldn't pony up and pay Mack Brown what he was worth to keep a winning football team and keep us in the top 10.

Ronnie Mcgill is decent, Durant, and Khalif Mitchell. From there, I have no idea.
