are you kidding me? Jordan's shot won THE championship. There are tons of buzzer beaters out there as good as Chrissie's. His was big just because it was the end of a great game.

Jordan's shot got the monkey off deano's back. got to give the edge to the shot that wins a title

Compare Leitners and Michaels shots all you like but don't start comparing their pro careers. Hell any Dukes pro careers. (Sounds like an oxymoron "Duke Pro Basketball"

No he did'nt, John Wooden and UCLA pretty much had a lock on the title year in and year out during much of Deans early heyday. Add the fact that only conference tournament champs went on to the big dance and that leaves very little room for error. Dean was his own man, did things his own way and he paid the price for his hard headedness at times. No he was not the very best but he was OURS and I would take him over anybody, regardless of the trophy count.

Dean was a great coach, no doubt. And I might say, there's not a basketball fan around that wouldn't like to see him still on the sidelines. (It was much more fun to see a UNC loss then, LOL.) But Dick Baddour was certainly wrong in not taking his advice to hire Rick Majerus and to take Matt Doherty instead.

Matt, IMO gets one more year. He doesn't make NCAA and he is gone. This is simply not acceptable
