It won't matter, will it? There are only limited means of testing HGH, and as far as I know, they're only effective if the subject actually took the HGH within the last couple of days. I'm not entirely sure about that, but it's what I read some time ago.

Clemens has a right to defend himself. The report is taking this guys word for granted. Maybe he has an ax to grind or is just tyring to aviod jail time. Unfortunately, this is probably going to go on for years and years.

    In related news:

One has to wonder if there is anything to Canseco's statement.

Did you read that Canseco was barred from the news conferance. He was told it was only for the media. Canseco is nothing more than an Al Sharpton wanna be. Always looking to get his mug on the television

No one believed him when he first started claiming wide steroid abuse either.

Keep in mind this list represents only about 1 percent of the players. The guys that are in it were either connected to Balco, players connected to the respective trainers that worked for the Mets, Yankees, and Blue Jays, or guys that got caught buying from the interweb.

There are canaries from the other teams that just haven't sung yet.

On another note, yeah, other than Roger not "yet" being called before a grand jury, ain't no difference between he and Barry.

I wouldn't be shocked if A-Rod had used, as I wouldn't be shocked about anyone anymore, but keep in mind that Canseco was only proven correct about things he had first hand knowledge of (McGwire, Tejada, etc). He doesn't even claim that he ever saw A-Rod do anything, he's just saying that he's heard rumors about it and he buys those rumors. Basically he's trying to sell his next book by attacking the biggest name in baseball.

In any case, I don't think there were any big surprises here. I've been saying for years that I suspected Clemens.

And yet, the report failed to mention the owners and people in charge that did nothing to stop this stuff when they needed MLB to make a comeback. All they're doing now is ruining the reputations of a couple stars and a bunch of shitty, barely major league guys who took the stuff to stay up with the guys hitting the HR's and making the money.

true, there should be the same level of concern there. Of course, Cy Young is a voted award.

I don't think you actually read the report, because it was very critical of Selig and the ownership.

    meat:
That's probably true to an extent, but Clemens didn't break any significant pitching records that I know of. Most Cy Youngs is the only thing I can think of.

Only people I believe anymore are Greg Maddux and Derek Jeter.
