That's how you might feel Collin. In my mind they are.

Well, I'm in Southern California, and I'll be damned before I root for the freaking Chargers.

Don't guess I was talking to you then, Piper, but glad you're a Panthers fan.

Point being, kind of... I've been a Braves fan for years & years but if we got a MLB (NL especially) team in the Carolinas, I feel I'd be forced to root for the shitty hometown expansion team... because they were the *hometown* team. I'd do it w/o question. Did it where the Panthers were concerned... never really expecting the kind of success we're having now, just because they were *our* team.

Stupid provincialism I guess, but I'm guilty

If you want to pull for the hometown team, good for you. If you don't, that's fine too. In fact, there's almost more honor in sticking with a team even if they aren't popular in your area. We've got Panthers fans from Minnesota to California, and many of those guys have never lived in the Carolinas. Shitting on fans of other teams here means shitting on those guys there.

Well, if you want to extrapolate it could. It wasn't meant to. I think the meaning is clear, it's how I feel about where *I* live.

    addendum

It ain't like I go to extremeskins and yell at all the Carolinians there about this.... this is a thread started by a 'skins (or just Gibbs?) fan/rabble rouser on a Panthers board.

I agree. And I hope it didn't appear I was shitting on him for being a Skin fan. You should stick with 'your team.' I just don't like for my team to patrionized, especially from Skin fans. Especially from skin fans...
