I agree with Iceman. The TV show sucked ass. The Hulk was huge in the comics. He wasn't anywhere near man size. I wanna see some fucking superhero shit, I don't wanna see a guy bending some steel. In the comics the Hulk could pretty much destroy a whole street just by jackhammering it. He was a BIG fucker. He coulda broke Spiderman or Daredevil in half. After reading the comic books, Lou Ferrigno as the Hulk looked ridiculous, like a puny wimp. They couldn't make an actor look as big as he's supposed to be. I'm gonna like the movie. :)

I think the movie Hulk looks too big. The comic book Hulk was what maybe 9 feet. The one in the clips looks 20. Other than that it looks cool to me.

Actually, the Hulk was only around 7 feet tall in the comic books, but he went from weighing 128 lbs to 1040 lbs in muscle mass and bone structure. He can lift up to 100 tons at peak strength. Hell, here's the link:

    HULK

They may have made him a little too tall, but you can't really tell looking at the trailer. Anyway, fuck it, I'm going to see it. :)

I collected the Hulk comics back in the 90's when he became the Professor Hulk (Didn't know that's what he was called), but it was all the personalities merged together. Great storyline and art. I recommend it if anyone wants to read back issues.

Wasn't he a gray color in those instead of green?

He was for a while. I started collecting right when the green Hulk was beginning to re-emerge. I think the green and gray Hulk began to fight in Banner's mind before some shrink got them to merge together. I'll have to go back and reread those issues.

Well, I saw it yesterday. It sucked. :( Not the animation, that was OK I thought, the storyline was just lame. Too much story, not enough Hulk. I wanted to see more ass kicking. He needs to fight more monsters and junk.

Oh, one more thing. NO way those pants would have stayed on his big ass at all. ;)

I actually liked it. But to be honest, I didn't have great expectations for it, so I wasn't as let down as I would have been if I was expecting another Spider-Man.

I agree there was a bit too much story before they got to the action, but I think that was just Ang Lee trying to turn a comic book movie into a serious film. I always thought Lee was a bad choice to make this movie, and I'm hoping that he does not make the sequel. But anyway, there had to be some set-up to introduce background on the characters, but they did focus a bit too much on it. I think the next movie will be mostly action now that the introductions are done...at least if Lee doesn't direct, otherwise you may be watching "Coutching Tiger, Hidden Hulk."

As for the CGI, I was pleasantly surprised. I was a bit dubious after watching the previews, but I think it really had a true 'comic book' feel to it that you don't usually see with these superhero movies. I don't think there is any way they could have stayed true to the comic book Hulk if they had a real person playing him. While technology has come a long way, it still cannot create a character that is able to perform action sequences without having a jerky motion.

The story was a bit hokey and forced, and the ending was way too obviously leading to a sequel. And that guy from the private company (sorry, I cannot remember his name right now) is pointless. But I never expected the story to be Casablanca, just a fun ride with a bit of silliness. I also liked how they made the Hulk's rage believable. The way the Hulk expressed his rage was the way someone might act if they completely lost control.

Like I said, overall I liked it, but it is definitely not in the class of Spider Man or X-Men. Hopefully the next movie will be much more action oriented, and focus more on Banner/Hulk's battles with the villian(s).
