Yes, I agree. They are young, and will return to Duke form. I wish K would do a couple things:
1-start getting some good bigs (consistently) to go with his good shooters he finds.
2-develop more bench. I would love to see Duke regularly go 8-10 deep for a game.

Yeah, to claim Duke is as overrated as Notre Dame football, which hasn't won a bowl game since 94 or something, is unbelievable. Just since then, Duke has three Final Fours and a National Championship. But, they are definitely trending downward. Of course, they were much better this year than last, so perhaps next year they will be even better.

Doh did belittle some players I know for a fact that he threw and hit Forte in the head with a bball.

I was also told in October after the 8-20 season that Doh would be walking if they missed the NCAAs.

 

I'm gettin old to have forgotten his first name. Yeah..Boozer > Williams overall IMO, but I don't know if you could call either (or Brand for that matter) dominant. Very good college players. Boozer may be the better of the 3 as pros, but Brand has been banged up a bunch since jumping to the NBA. Shelden is still very young too.

 

Brand was very dominant his So. year (final year) at Duke.....had he and Avery and Maggette stayed sober the night before the 99 champ game they should have won.

So to say that Doherty wasn't given anything when he started is ridiculous. He went 26-7 that year. All they lost was Ed Cota from a final four team the year before...

It was funny that Capel was so good when Forte and Cota were there and when he became the focal point, they went 8-20.

8-20 gets you an announcing gig for the ACC Tourney

13-18 gets you head coach at Oklahoma.
