I thought Jesus was perfect? He is God?

Like I said, I haven't ever gotten around to questioning the source material. But I have in the past read a lot of secular church history, enough to make me cautious of anything to do with the Church. It was a political animal for sooo long.

The Textus Receptus was Greek. When did the Latin come in?

Nobody in Nazareth besides Mary, Joseph, and His cousin John believed He was the Son of God.

That's what I believe. But I also believe God's messages can be delivered unmolested through His people.

Your caution is warranted, to say the least, and I share it. That's why my faith is in Jesus, not in the church. :wink2:

HB, do you think it's weird how Christians worship Jesus but Muslim's are against worshipping Mohammed, just Allah?

Thank you, once again, Sly for making me do my homework. I'm not sure where I heard the Latin component, but from what I just read, the KJV was translated from the original texts, but with a slight twist.

Instead of starting from scratch, it seems as though they used one of the current English versions (the Bishop's translation) as a guideline, which undoubtedly affected the first KJV copy to hit the printer. However, it was revised at least four times over the next 158 years before a "final" Authorized version was released to the public. That's still a lot of tampering, compared to the NIV and NASB translations. And that also doesn't absolve the subtle discrepancies between the KJV and the modern direct translations.

Here's the link to these latest insights.

Edit: Just checked on wikipedia. It pretty much says the same thing.

Not really, no. Muslims don't worship Muhammad because they don't view him as anything but a human being; a prophet. Christians worship Jesus because we believe He is God.

    I don't know.

But what I do want to know is what did Mary do when Jesus said, "Daddy said I could do it."?
