We just fell to the 31-32 spot.

Whatever happens, I think it may be tought to get a starter in the draft, which I think says alot.

I think we should go FA on the CB if we need. I don't think Howard is the greatest - at all - but I think it would be alot to expect of a rookie to beat him right off the bat.

WR - same. Maybe could beat Proehl, maybe if we don't sign Dyson.

O-line - possibly. Depends on whether Donnalley retires, and whether or net Nelson steps up.

LB - tough call. I doubt a rookie could win a job over Fields, Morgan, or Spoon. That pick would still likely be depth.

Depth. It's part of what makes a champion.

    I say best available.

From the looks of this draft, Best available might be the best choice at #31/32. You definately don't want to be reaching early this year, not a talent heavy draft.

lots of good WRs out there this year.

i dont want kellen winslow on this team -- he doesn't fit. but that's about the right slotting. i'd take ben troupe there, but he won't last.

    I think it's a good time for a WR.

No pressure to start, and keeps the starters working hard to keep their jobs.

I think restructuring Moose and signing Smith will make the cap a wash next year.

I have Lee Evans graded to be in that 28-32 range.

    upside to this draft

jerry won't have to dole out big bucks for a TOP 10 pick. he can use those savings to sign smith and extend contracts on others (delhomme has 1 year left, doesn't he?).

Just make sure we get a guys who fit.

And Evans does fit in many ways. He's got a chip, a little short, but tough.

Short guys won't fit on this team. We have no short people on this team. They are all tall. :sarcastic

Hey, if he is a good player and plays with a chip on his shoulder like Manning and Smith do, BRING HIM ON!!
