The Departed

i thought the movie sucked bigtime...seriously

 

i thought it was good, but while i like unconventional story telling and plot devices, i can't say i am a big fan of fucked up endings.

i normally don't like dicaprio but he was pretty good in this. i thought the young matt damon character looked exactly like marky mark, which was odd.

 

scorsese is one of the worst movie makers in hollywood.

this movie had some of the worst dialog i have had to sit through.

there were about 4 nuggets of brilliance in this movie, the rest was barely mediocre.

 

the literal rat at the end was a little ham handed to me and took it down a notch - otherwise I liked it. It'll be one of those that I watch every year or so.

 

Go hang out in the heart of South Boston for six months, and you will think differently.

 

oh i get the regional vernacular, my entire family is from brooklyn. it was still some really poor dialog. and poor delivery of bad dialog.

scorsese is the most overrated filmmaker of our generation.
