    Got this in my email:

    Panthers' Weinke to Undergo Surgery

    .c The Associated Press

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) - Carolina Panthers quarterback Chris Weinke will undergo surgery Wednesday on his throwing shoulder, forcing him to miss the team's three-day minicamp next month.

But Panthers general manager Marty Hurney said Weinke should be ready for the team's three-week minicamp in June.

Weinke, who first injured his shoulder midway through last season, experienced more pain in Carolina's three-day camp last week.

After meeting with team doctors Monday, Weinke decided the best option was to have the surgery. Hurney said the operation is not considered major.

You could almost find the same word for word article except with Steve's name in the archives.

That's my point. How many Pro Bowls did Steve go to after "minor surgury"? Weinke might not make it that far. Him and Jeffers, they can be roommates. Slam Rashard all you want, but that's his neck on the line, but QB's have no excuse showing up day 1 needing surgery IMO.

Steve would had never gone to the pro bowl when he did had he not been on a Siefert led WCO team. Our running game was average or below... face it Steve was a career loser on the field...
