The Dave and Sammy Show!!!

Did anyone go see them this past Wednesday? I was there, I thought they both sounded really good. Dave's band covered the Van Halen tunes better than Sammy, (his guitarist was awesome). But his stage show sucked big time. He had no props and he's losing his hair. He spent too much time just standing around or doing those silly kicks.

Now Sammy on the other hand was awesome:xyzthumbs

He put on a really good show and the coolest part was when Michael Anthony came out on stage to play with him!!! You could tell that Michael has an iching to get back on the road, he looked like he was really enjoying himself. After seeing the show I now think that Hagar is a bettter fit for Van Halen at this current time. I actually prefer Van Hagar anyway but after seeing Dave, he just doesn't have it anymore other than doing his old tunes. Sammy is and should be the future for VH.

I was really impressed with the way Sammy treated his fans. He had two bleachers on stage with fans from the audience and he was constantly signing autographs on stage. If someone threw something on stage he either put it on or showed the crowd. I thought it was cool when he brought this lady on stage from the crowd and danced with her. He then showed the crowd her sign and it said "I want to dance with Sammy". He then let her go into the bleachers on the stage. Good to see he isn't stuck up or have a big ego. Now if only Eddie will sollow his pride and apologize to Sammy.

I agree with you. Dave sounded pretty good (I'd say his voice is about 60% of what it used to be). His band was tight and sounded EXACTLY like Van Halen. I'd have preferred if they'd added their own touchl.

Actually Dave scared me. His body looks 25...his face looks 95.

Sammy ruled. Period. He sounded great and still has the energy that he had in his "Red Rocker" days.

 

I heard they got in a fight backstage and that the Charlotte show might be the last one.

would've wanted to see the fight.

 

I heard that on John Boy and Billy, but that the fight was in Raleigh I think. I haven't heard any sort of confirmation though.
