i'm so scared that the watchmen is going to suck. i mean, really, how can you do a movie of such epic proportions? i was hoping somebody would do an miniseries of it for hbo. the last 5 years is so perfect for a re-imagining of the story.

oh, and while it took liberties with the story, v for vendetta was pretty good for a comic book movie. my wife even liked it.

batman begins was great -- didn't care for any of the previous batmans, tho #1 was okay-ish.
xmen and x2 were very good (x3 sucked).
spiderman was pretty good and sm2 was not so great. still trying to watch sm3, but i'm having a hard time motivating to hit "play" on the tivo
superman was fun in it's kookiness, but the sequels all sucked (including the new one)
the hulk movie from a few years back was a total wtf? moment.
the crow had some moments (i always thought this was how they should have done batman)
    hellboy was surprisingly good

I was there as well. Heath Ledger is unbelievable. It's a very, very dark movie, so be prepared. You'll enjoy his "pencil trick".
The Watchmen trailer ( I have no idea what that is), and the new Terminator trailer ( Christian Bale is John Connor !) both looked cool as well. A +++++ movie.

Was Ledgers performance that good? He is getting a lot of Oscar buzz over it. I wonder if it is more because he's dead or the performance it self

Could've got tix for the 12:01 advance screening last night but my little brother didn't understand WHY anyone would want to go at midnight. :smash:

X2 is easily my favorite comic book movie. I also like Blade, TMNT, Batman, Spider-man, Iron Man, the Incredible Hulk, the first X-Men and Sin City. I know FF was a terrible movie, but I enjoyed it.

I watched Batman Begins again last night. I liked it better than the initial viewing, but still not on par with the great comic book movies.

I wondered the same thing and within the first few minutes, he proves that this buzz is the real deal.
