    Been watching this on UK TV

    Dont know if it airs in the US? (must do or has)

    Sly Stallone and Sugar Ray Leonard host it

    They have taken a bunch of middle weight boxers
    and the last man standing wins a Million dollars.

    Riveting stuff
    some good fighters in the bunch.

    Anyone seen it?

    I watch and enjoy it. I was kind of spoiled by the UFC's version of the show, which I thought was much better. I don't like that they cut the boxing matches in The Contender. You really can't understand what's going on in a fight unless you can feel it flow in it's entirety, and they cut it to I guess increase the drama, which I don't like. Good stuff nonetheless, though. The other thing is that I have no idea what value, other than his name, Stallone adds to the show. You can tell he doesn't really know boxing that well (or can't articulate his thoughts about it) and he says a lot of stupid stuff. Sugar Ray is cool, though.

    I'm a 37 yr old female that doesn't know much about boxing, but I love this show. It's just as much about the stories, backgrounds and dreams of these boxers than the actual boxing matches themselves. And I agree about the Stallone comment...he doesn't add much to the show.

    I'm afraid this will be the only season of this show. The ratings aren't that good. It pisses me off when good shows like this fizzle out but crap like the Bachelor keeps coming back! [​IMG]

    He looks great, but maybe a little undersized. I like either Sergio or Manfredo to win it. Even though he was annoying, I felt bad for Bonsante getting knocked out this week after winning the whole fight up til that point against a guy who didn't seem to care as much as he did.
