    Religous symbol? Or more like the Easter Bunny a fun thing.

    Best answer I have heard is, "I don't need a Christmas tree to celebrate Christmas."

    Sort of like dying eggs at Easter.

    symbols are subjective. personally, i think it's not religious in and of itself, but i see how it could certainly be considered a religious symbol by some -- given that it's one of the more prominent symbols of such a majorly christian holiday.
