Don't want to pout, but did the Panthers front office (pro personnel, GM, Coaching Staff) not conduct some kind of psychological evaluation on Mr. Carr back in the Spring, pre-signing?

Say what you will about his accuracy, his success/failures in Houston, or his potential. Right now, he's not amounting to what we need. It's a tough time to be a QB on this team, but tough times call for tough people. I don't think Carr is tough enough, mentally, to ever give us what we expect. He is a defeated man, and that's exactly what one does not need in their signal caller.

That said--I can't remember a time where our offensive line has played so poorly. So, I can excuse some of the sacks. But even when he's had time, he's been off the mark on many of the elementary throws.

Hey, you remember that time we gave up 69 sacks?

    Under Fox.

2000 was abysmal, yes. But we're looking pretty damn close to that bad in the past 6 weeks or so.

I like how we're still seeing threads about someone who won't even be a factor in this team's future even though there are plenty of problems with players who will. I mean, I'd kind of get it if there hadn't already been ten thousand threads on the subject or if he was expected to be the starter in '08, but good lord.

Maybe we could get a pair of those gloves for the Ring of Honor.

I want them to do one better than Jeff Lewis and actually release Carr DURING A GAME that he starts. An away game would be nice. Make him buy his own ticket home.

It's easy to point to an individual and say he's bad [Carr], but I don't think anyone thinks he's THE reason we're struggling. Problem is, we supposedly have talent on the oline but they're not protecting or opening holes. Smitty seems at times to be our only offense again. Foster has talent but the fumble bug is biting hard. The defense has talent but struggles and at this point you have to wonder if they're thinking "What's the point busting my butt?" You hope they don't because they're professionals and make a shit load, but you still wonder and can you completely blame them given the offensive woes.

Yes the problems with this team are many, but hard to figure out WHY - it's easy to see Carr's bad decisions etc and say he stinks. But again I doubt anyone truly believes dumping Carr makes us win out the remainder of the season.

They introduce the offense but as Carr starts to trot out, security steps forward and stops him, escorting him off the property.

We suck up front on both sides, I have no clue where to start fixing that.
