The Butterfly Effect

    instead of his brith, the theatrical ending he sees his birthday party or something. maybe when he first meets the chick? anyway, he tells her he hates her and never wants to see her again (remember the "the only reason i lived with my fucked up dad is to be near you" line?). so she presumably ends up with her mom and turns out fine.

    i'm still puzzled how his life wasn't dramatically altered by him ramming two spikes thru his hands for the stigmata thing. actually, i'm really confused by that one. his cellmate somehow sees two version of reality in that one -- the version where he doesn't have scars and the version where he does. it totally breaks the from the rest of the movie's "system" for how things work. nobody else sees things change -- just him. and the whole "butterfly" effect is of course thrown out the window for that scene as well -- NOTHING else changed. the "butterfly" in this case didn't even cause so much a slight breeze to the rest of the world, let alone a hurricane.

    I'm looking at the movie as more the beginning of propaganda campaign. If you can make a difference in someone's life, will you do the right thing?
