Butter went 2 for freaking 50 from 3 point land last year, didn't want to play the position asked of him, and is a turnover machine. I have no problem with him being here, or as a person, but this is his 4th year, I don't know that a second chance is what we owe him. I think I have given him about 20 chances in my own mind. The guy is probably the most gifted athlete we've had in 10 years, yet he fails to concentrate on any consistent basis.

If he contributes...........wonderful. He CAN make the team better. However, if we see last seasons Butter, I think he will quickly be forgotten and, in turn, not subject to last seasons "abuse".

If the team gets despirate enough this season, I'd rather go with Brown, Plavich and Baldwin in the lineup at the same time than give minutes to a potential turnover machine.

if butter produces this year, great. but if he doesnt, we are so damn deep it wont really matter if he sits on the bench all night.

Sure it is and thought behind it was if Iti, Clemmons, Pigford & Basden are in such foul trouble that only 2 of them could be on the court at a time, I'll take my chances with Plavich and Brown firing the deep ball. If the opponent overplayed both than let Baldwin drive or one of the "available" frontcourt guys take it inside.

Bottom line...........I'm just trying to find an option that doesn't have us dependant on the "dangerous" version of Butter Johnson.

I think he should wear #6, for his 3 pt shooting % last season. Or #4 for the position he refused to play.

Unless two or more of our frontcourt players turn ankles, I don't want to see Butter on the court. Unless Pigford was a major fluke the other day, he'll be picking splinters out of his ass.

I think Kevin is #12 now. That's what he was wearing during Green/White and that's what is listed on the black and white photo roster.

#12 it is. He was signing autographs as.........

    "Butter Johnson #12"

Wonder what I could get an eBay for it ???????????

yes, I've had a couple of beers with dinner tonight.

It was tempting to tell my son to skip Butter and go to the next guy in line, but I'm trying to be open minded about good ole #12 this year.
