"the fact is that they have the same number of national championships in the last decade that Texas does, and Oklahoma has won far more of the head to head match-ups over that period."

I said that Oklahoma has won most of the match-ups over the last ten years, you moron. Don't respond to me until you get a brain transplant or at least learn to read.

WHy look at just the last decade though why cant we look at all-time is it because you knew Texas had more? I mean why just the last 10 years? and since 1997 we have both had 6 but its ok

Because it's the most relevant period.

Seriously, go away. This board doesn't need some homer Texas fan who flips out anytime someone doesn't bow in obeisance (look it up) to the Longhorns.

oo yeah and im pretty sure the board doens't need some punk who thinks of himself as God of Knowledge in the college footbal world. As well as probably the only person in the country who thinks the BCS is a good system that chooses a deserving winner

Doesn't matter whether they are undeserving or not... they'll be playing in the Big 12 championship game and unless Missouri can sneak USC's defense into the game wearing gold and black OU is going to ring their asses up. That means BCS championship game. Where Florida will probably beat their butts...
Texas should have taken care of business in Lubbock. Losing a game late in the season is usually a killer especially when voters see shit like this:

    OU 62 Nebraska 28
    OU 66 Texas A&M 28
    OU 65 Texas Tech 21
    OU 61 Okla State 41

I'm not an OU fan but hanging 60+ four games in a row is damn impressive to me. Especially vs the #2 and #12 ranked teams the last 2 weeks.

yes that is impressive but if your going to look at just the last 4 games why play the season? also did you see Texas' midseason schedule? why doesnt the bcs just look at those?

    #1 Oklahoma win- 45-35

    #11 Mizzouri win- 56-31

    #6 OK. St. win- 28-24

    #7 TExas Tech loss-39-33

and yes that TT loss does stick out but i mean your playing 4 weeks in a row against top level teams in the country?

and by the way their big man im sure the black and gold of Iowa expected to beat penn. st. upsets happen ********** but for your information you idiot the AP and Harris poll both had Texas over OU when they were combined..its the computer systems that screwed us over...so unless computers all of a sudden have eyes I doubt they were watching that loss in Lubbock and they obviously werent watching that whipping in the Cotton Bowl either.

I'm probably the only UF supporter here, and I don't know why everyone is so convinced they will beat Bama, let alone OU. They are great, no doubt, but they make a lot of mistakes.

One of the most heavily penalized teams in college football. Those can doom you, and will, against great football teams.
