    Read this morning where WB has hired Goldman to look over it's loan portfolio. I have to wonder if this is just a consulting gig or is it some form of due diligence?

    I'm thinking it'll be time to buy back in when it hits the 15's...it's still a decent company, but the Golden West thing was just unbelievably poorly timed...$24b acquisition has cost shareholders $60b so far. I think they could divest the mortgage business completely, all of golden west and some original W, and still come out even or even ahead - tossing the $24b investment in the trash.
