The Bama situation reminds me of the NCSU basketball job.

For all intents and purposes, Sendek was fired. He was dead meat and he knew it, so he found a job in the dessart and quit.

I disagree. I think Lee Fowler was behind him all the way. Why wouldn't he be?

OK, I'll say it...Sendek sucked. Period. Unreal expectations or not, he got us to the NCAA tournament, what 4 four years maybe? Doherty recruited a national championship team and all people want to say is how it was a great move to fire him. Hell, Sendek didn't even get fired?!

Sendek was fired because he ran the princeton offense in the ACC, that shit is just illegal.

VERY similar. Both Sendek and Shula brought their schools a respectable amount of success. Both schools are living in the past. They think that since they won it all ages ago, that they are destined to do it again.

Sendek....good solid coach that State should have been proud of.

Shula? 10-2...lose your QB and Prothro and still go 6-6 in the SEC (Arkansas used to suck....not anymore)....HE GOT FUCKED. Bama absolutely deserves the trainwreck they created. Who the hell would coach at a place where 10-2 and 6-6 gets you canned?

Remember when Hatfield was forced out at Clemson? They've never seen that type of success since...over zealous fans....:pimp:
