The 7-9 Bandwagon

I don't have a clue really.

If the new offense gells and we are able to drink the new coolaid, then we could do very well, but the other side of that says we can't run the ball and we only have one option in Smith. The new offense is not really built for one WR. It's built to spread the ball around and make Colbert look like David Patten pre-redskins/saints

The defense could be very good. We got 3 of our DTs still intact and we have picked up some LBs. Our corners look good. Minter has worked in the past and I don't see the safety position killing this team.

Special teams may have gotten alot better with the new return man. Think of what Hester did for Chicago's special teams. A couple new rookies to run and hit.

I can see us going 6-10 or 10-6. Really no telling at this point.

 

TotalPackage,,,, we were staring 9-7 right in the eye WITH Keyshawn,,,, without him makes us 7-9 unless some of our youngens have breakout seasons. We know what we're getting with Carter/Colbert/TE's= very little. And Collin, I'm hoping for Jake to have that 2003 season again too,,, course we've been hoping that every year since 2003 and now its 2007.

 

I don't give a shit about trying to figure out how we do. I'm going to be happy if we ever play worth a fuck, I'm going to be angry if we lose. Till then I'm just waiting.

 

I can agree with that,,,, but I'm sure crossing my fingers that Deangelo and some of these rooks have great years...

 

Very tough to say how we'll do every year but even tougher this time because Davidson is such a variable. Biggest thing to me is are we gonna be able to run the ball, if we can it all falls into place.

If the offense struggles and Ruck isn't healthy it could be tough early.

 

wait - why again do we want 2003 Jake? 2004 and 2005 Jake beats the shit out of 2003, sans playoffs.

 

Our running game sucks and will continue to suck as long as DeShaun Foster is our #1

 

I'll just settle for whichever Jake that throws the ball to our team, more than the one who throws the ball (or fumbles) to the other team. Not asking for perfection,,, just a batting average in our favor.

 

I've said all along that it's the blocking, not Foster, and hereby say it yet again.

 

Actually I still like Deshaun Foster,,, but I'd like to see Deangelo get more involved in our offense touching the ball more, either carries or receptions.
