Both. Bad analogy though. The question is, should you be cheering for one of those two or school #3, which you didnt attend, but is just the bandwagon flavor of the week?

People who choose #3 have personality flaws. Seriously. Either be proud of who you are and where you came from or just admit you don't have enough character to do so. You need the acceptance of going with the crowd.

When you have to rely on an analogy this stupid, it's pretty obvious that you realize you're wrong and have basically given up. Who has been a lifelong fan of a particular high school? Jesus, you are one giant moron.

If you have been a fan of a particular school all your life, that's a hell of a lot more vested interest than in whichever school you happened to pick due to majors and academic strengths. It's absolutely moronic to pretend like you should suddenly drop whatever team you've always been a fan of, just because academics took you somewhere else. The only situation I can see that being acceptable is if you never really gave a damn about your "favorite" in the first place.

I've been an Orioles fan all my life, but what happens if I move to a city where a different team is located? I'm suddenly supposed to switch allegiances just because of where I live? What about if I actually end up working for one of those other teams? Am I supposed to suddenly make them my favorite instead of the Orioles?

Then your dad is a dickhead. Have you never noticed how the networks constantly interview parents in the stands and they're always pulling for the teams their children attend? Apparently your father is too selfish for that.

    HardHarry:
Pretend like you have a brain for two seconds and realize that we're not talking about bandwagon teams, you stupid fuck. We're talking about teams a person has been a fan of their entire life. Just that one team, dumbass, through thick and thin.

A lot of people. Concord HS, Richmond County, Perriman in TX, and just about any PA or OH town. But yeah, I have never understood why people get so freaked out about someone pulling for a school they didn't go to.

I personally don't do it, but who the fuck cares?

I have no problem with that. I pull for schools I didn't go to all the time. Was rooting like crazy for Villanova in the tournament this year til they got JOBBED by the refs... :satana:

It's pulling for a school you didnt go to over the one you did attend. For all the reasons stated.

    Because their kids went there.

And a lot of times, the local high school means more than any pro team.
