While I wouldn't trade up for Anthony Richardson, the idea of him behind this offensive line and a coach who wants to run the ball is kind of intriguing. If he's available at #9, I'd have to really think about it. If a QB flops at #9, it's not a major setback.

In a perfect world, I'd love to sit him for a full year behind someone like Brisett.

What I was looking for was a Day 2 pick, which is what this internet "scout" says he will be. Yes, everyone says he has the tools, build, arm strength, etc., to succeed at the next level. All he needs is coaching. And again, since we have the greatest coaches in the world now according to the media, I really don't think he would be a big a project as Anthony Richardson or even Will Leavis.

Both of those guys will need to sit behind another veteran for a year or two also.

I would just rather use the 9 pick and get value, not reach for a QB. I guess that is my main point in looking at McKee, in 2nd round, his value and pick would match, he'd sit on bench for a season or two while Darnold or Brissett ran offense, then he or Corral would ascend to the top. If you pick a guy in the first, it HAS to be them ascend to the top.

When it comes to the draft, I always hope for value.
Heck, we could sign Carr to a 5 year deal and all this is out the window, who knows

I am hoping Fitterer does his trade-down magic and we end up with an extra pick and Richardson somewhere around the 15-20 range. I also want a pony.

As far as Tanner McKee, we should forget about him and go see what Ryan Mallet is doing these days.

Yeah, he might be working at Home Depot in a couple years, but as a late 2nd rounder, or early 2nd rounder, maybe he fits.
The quick processing will be more important than the scrambling in my opinion.
AR is a physical freak, but hoping we can make him process the offense and hit crossing patterns. It is all a gamble, I just hate gambling in the top 10

Agree. If the new staff is able to trade down for extra pick(s) then we might have a "great" new braintrust at work. ... If they have to stay at 9 but draft BPA then the new staff is "good". If they reach for a QB at 9 they "suck again". If they trade up for ANY QB in this draft then they are "elite suckage" and the panthers will be drafting in the top 3 for years to come

not sure how Chase Brice gets left off that list... not saying he's a 1st round pick, but he can play
