I would say that he called Lutz as a favor, not because he needed him in order to get a game here.

And it's pretty tough to say that UNC is being arrogant when it has more of a claim to Charlotte because of its history and that the Heels have been playing ball here since 10 years before UNCC even had a program.

I'd take that on the baseball field.

Did I ever say it would? Chapel Hill vs Fresno State isn't going to bring 19k either.

History, tradition, etc doesn't matter in this case as one team from another town wanted to come into another team's home city and be the home team. I don't care if the out of town team has 1000 championships and has been around for 500 years while the other team has been around one year. It makes no difference. This "claim" of which you speak of is the arrogance I was referring to in previous posts. Again, I'm sure Roy could have found another team, maybe Winthrop, JC Smith, Wingate, to play in downtown Charlotte. Fact is he called Lutz.

It would bring a hell of a lot more people than UNCC/Fresno was my only point. That's one of many reasons why UNC can demand control of the tickets.

Of course it's well within UNCC's rights to deny those terms.

That's insane. I can't walk into your yard and all of the sudden say it's mine.

Actually, that's a bad analogy. It would have been better to say that you can't claim a park just because your house is closer.

A team only has one house, UNCC's is Halton. UNC's is the Smith Center.

TWC Arena is fair game, and the team with the bigger cock dictates the terms or they don't play. Right now they aren't playing. Simple as that.

If UNCC played 1/3rd schedule at TWC that might be different, but they don't.
