I thought he did ok given the circumstances. He was inexperienced and it showed. I just hope he was as bad as they say he was. Cause if he wasn't we have the biggest bunch of pussies on our team.

You guys took this way to serious. "stupid list" "clueless" ??? Sorry boys, I'm not concerned what your feedback is on my list. Its pretty good and right on.

1. True - He single handedly fucked up about every decent Tarheel record they had going.
2. True - He drove one of the best programs into the ground
3. True - Forte to name one would have never left after his sophmore year - he was not ready, he just wanted the hell out of dodge. (His family was not an economic hardship)
4. True - he beat Duke his first year
5. True - he resigned (yea I know he was basically told to, the writing was on the wall.)

you have to have the thinnest skin of any regular on this board. I didn't notice anyone calling you names - so let me be the first to really piss you off.

I don't think Doherty single handedly did anything.

He was dealt a crappy team due to poor recruiting by Guthridge. People want to compare his three years to Guts - which is ridiculous since Dean left Gut a stacked team ( even admited it was a factor in his timing).

Doherty wasn't ready for UNC - but its not like he twisted any arms - it was dickhead that offered him the job - he would have been a fool to turn it down at the time.

ONE - player left for the NBA - and I think Forte's choice was as much not wanting to play on what he knew was going to be a pretty bad team last year.

how is he an asshole for resigning? - he had no choice - he was FIRED. The whole "atmosphere" that Baddour talked about was Baddour's fault - he perpetuated it - let it fester - welcomed it - he made sure Doherty had no choice - had no chance to succeed.

Sure he made mistakes - and I don't think he was ready. I think the Heels will find a better coach - but the man got a raw deal - hung out to dry by his boss -

the man deserves better treatment than he got.

I see your reading skills are not up to par. If I were to say to you "you really are clueless" most somewhat educated folk would consider that in fact being called a name.

And I'm glad you clarified things. I could probably call you clueless since both of our thoughts are based on opinion. I believe yes Iceman did drive the program into the ground. Dean Smith or Guth would have managed to get their 20 wins each year with the same talent Do did. Its opinon.

And yes, I am aware he was pressured to resign. When I tagged that one with - asshole. I was simply stating he was an asshole. Not for resigning, just because he is. When Do cleaned house at Carolina, I knew he fucked up major...
